The Project

This front garden edging in Irondequoit had begun spilling onto the sidewalk as the original plastic edging failed to hold back the landscape rock. Over time, the edging shifted, the rock spread outward, and the garden lost its clean, defined appearance.

We removed the old plastic edging and excavated the area to create a proper foundation. After digging down, we leveled and compacted a solid paver base to ensure long-term stability. From there, we installed a new garden edge using retaining wall block, creating a clean, durable border that keeps the landscape rock contained and restores the structure of the garden.

The finished result not only improves curb appeal but also provides a long-lasting solution that can handle seasonal freeze-thaw cycles and everyday wear.
